Production 7 "First Feedback 1/20/21"

 

    As of now, I have managed to finish of my table of contents. It didn’t look the best, but given that my phone was having issues when I decided I wanted to use a photo for this page, I managed to find an image of a dog that a friend and I created in illustrator a while back. In addition to this, I managed to get one person to review what I have done so far. He corrected me on a few of my mistakes which I then fixed, as well as helping me to realize some of my typography needed changing, specifically, the headings I had. With that feedback in mind, I changed up the font and size of some of what I had done and completed the table of contents, which I realized would look slightly better if the page numbers had a distinct color to emphasize where to find them. I am still unhappy with how my magazine has turned out thus far, but I will redo it if I find out how to fix it, which I certainly intend to, in large part with more peer feedback such as the proper peer review we will go over in class.

                 The creative process is extremely important when embarking upon a new endeavor in a field ripe with choices . When going over  the TED talk last week, the speaker talked about how when you think creatively, you can come up with unique solutions. Post - Production 1 "More Photos and Colored Pages"

     At this point in my editing, I reviewed some of the more common comments I received from my  peers and  thought it best to get some of the more prominent issues fixed before I move on to the les s common feedback I received. The  most prominent issue I am aware of was my lack of photos, and while I am not entirely convinced I have enough yet, the images I have placed are certainly an improvement, and I feel that they make my magazine feel l ess empty. The other major piece of feedback I received was that I should add a color to my pages in order to make the background less unnecessarily bright   as it looked with a white background. To make up for this, I used a rectangular box the same size as the page and turned it to a light shade of blue. I then used the arrange feature t o send it to the very back of the layer.
